Petition for a Review of School Bus Transportation.
A petition asking the government to Review School Bus Transportation Policies is available for public consideration/signing at the Bay Roberts Town Council Office. The petition is calling on the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to ensure safe and quality School Bus Transportation for all school children in the province.
Currently. the policy dictates that busing is not provided for children who live within 1.6 kilometers of their school, and further, in rural communities, school closures are forcing children into very long bus trips.
