Wildfire Prevention Info

With the spring thaw comes preparation for summer and the wildfire season!

This is a reminder that a permit is required for outdoor burning. Unfortunately, we have had recent issues of homeowners burning grass on their property. This type of behaviour not only creates unnecessary hazard but does not contribute to any positive growth of your lawn.

We kindly ask that if residents would like to conduct any outdoor burning to contact the Town Office at 786-2126 to obtain a proper permit. Keep in mind that the igniter of the fire must remain fully in control of the fire and is responsible for any damages that may occur. Let’s all do our part for fire safety and keep Wildfire away this year. Please like and share this message to get the word out!
