Bubble Tours 2020
The Town of Bay Roberts offers three available guided tours – Heart of Heritage Tour in the Heritage District, Cellars and Songs Tour on Shoreline Heritage Walking Trail, and Toutons and Tunes Tour on the Shoreline Heritage Walking Trail. These tours can be offered at different times and must be booked through our booking system here: www.bookeo.com/bayroberts. TOURS MUST BE BOOKED BY THURSDAY TO ACCOUNT FOR SCHEDULING.
Fridays, Cost $6, July – August
**MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE** Join Lois for a guided tour of our Provincial Heritage District, Cable Avenue, with vignettes along the way and ending with snacks and entertainment for your bubble! Price is $6 per person. Begins at the Cable Building, National Historic Site, then continues onto the old Anglican graveyard, then to the Orangemen’s Lodge Museum & Playhouse, the oldest public building in Bay Roberts, and then finishes back at the Cable Building for a lunch & entertainment from our summer musical team. **ALL TOURS WEATHER DEPENDANT. Saturdays, Cost $6, July – August
**MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE** Join Lois for a guided tour of French’s Cove, a resettled community along the Shoreline Heritage Walking Trail, and have a look at root cellars and discover the history of what once stood there. Finishes off with a paper bag snacks picnic and entertainment for your bubble! Price is $6 per person. Begins at the French’s Cove access point on the trail (located on French’s Cove Road), then continues on down through French’s Cove to a restored root cellar, then back up through to finish at our red picnic table for a paper bag picnic lunch with entertainment from our summer musical team. **ALL TOURS WEATHER DEPENDANT. Sundays, July – September
The self guided “Toutons and Tunes” tour starts at the Crane’s Hill wharf, the first access point to the Shoreline Heritage Walking Trail. Take a stroll through Crane’s Hill and Mack’s Beach and scan the QR codes found on signage along the way to help you discover the history. If you go between 1-3pm on Sundays, you can stop by the Red Shed (just past Mack’s Beach) for some homemade traditional toutons and entertainment from our summer musical team **WEATHER DEPENDANT**.
