Mayor’s Volunteer Week Message 2021

Volunteer Week has been set this year in Canada to be April 18–24^th. This year’s theme is “The Value of One, the Power of Many”. The theme is meant to reflect on all the acts of kindness that have gone on this past year despite the very ‘trying year’ it has been. Acts of kindness and support that people have shown their friends, neighbours, strangers, and their community, in general, have continued regardless. Recognizing individuals that have continued with these acts of kindness help us to also recognize the wonderful community, province, and country we all are so fortunate to live in. It is our volunteers who in fact help shape our lives and our communities. The Town of Bay Roberts applauds that great spirit of volunteering. Your efforts are very much needed and appreciated and for that, we send a big, big thank you to each and every one of you!

Hold Fast – we are in this together and together we will get out of it!
